Rōketsu-zome Noren - Green & Black
Introducing a new noren series featuring the rōketsu-zome style of dyeing with wax and water. These abstract patterns are created by first dipping the linen in wax, crinkling it underwater after it hardens, and allowing dye to settle in the disruptions of the wax coating.
This method is called wax-splatter roketsuzome (rōfubuki). The technique is a specialty of Kyoto, where there is a 1,200-year history of roketsu-zome dyeing.
Due to the nature of the dyeing process, each piece is one-of-a-kind. Enjoy roketsuzome in three different colorways: Natural & Black, Black & Green, and Grey & Black

Dyed with the rōfubuki roketsu-zome technique
- To remove wrinkles in the linen, steam, spray water, or gently iron with a piece of fabric between the iron and the linen
- Avoid hanging in direct sunlight to avoid color fade
- Spot treat any stains. Avoid washing unless necessary. If you need to wash, hand-wash in cold water only with a gentle detergent. There is a chance of dye bleeding.
